Individuals Find ‘Themselves’
I've asked a lot of questions through my years of recruiting. I'm fascinated by the ones that reveal more of who we truly are and inspire shifts in our own perception. It seems to me that there is a correlation between job satisfaction and self identity and through my blog at www.sarahloucooper.com I explore the journey to connect to a stronger sense of self.
I am always interested in hearing about project work or collaborations.

I was between jobs and needed some direction as to how to find another job having found myself redundant after having been employed my whole life since graduating from university. Sarah came and gave a couple of presentations, to group of us looking for work, about how to work with recruiters not against them and how to make your cv more likely to get a second glance.
I was particularly blown away by a presentation she gave about recruiters and an analogy which involve a giraffe with one leg and a bent ear. It does make sense in context and I followed all Sarah's advice with regards to my cv and got interview opportunities and eventually a job as a result.
I can highly recommend following Sarah's advice - she knows what she is talking about.
Thank you Sarah!
Sarah is an excellent spokes person for the recruitment industry.
I have attended several of her presentations about how to get the most from your relationship with recruitment agencies and she gives a well paced, warts and all picture of the current reality.
Recruitment agencies are there to find people with the right skill and qualifications to fill the positions available.
If you are an employer looking for a recruitment agency that will go the extra mile to find the right people for the job, you will have to look hard to find a better agent than Sarah.
Sarah is a genuine recruitment professional with a wealth of knowledge and experience across a variety of fields. Throughout the years I worked with Sarah she demonstrated commitment to clients and candidates alike, leaving me with no doubt as to which HR recruitment specialist I would recommend in current markets.
Sarah has been an incredible help to me and I would highly recommend her to anyone.
She's highly trustworthy, keeps her word and works quickly and effectively. She has wonderful expert knowledge of her industry and is clearly passionate about it. She took a lot of time to help me and the results were fantastic. I would definitely work with Sarah again and recommend her to any of my friends or business associates.
Sarah is also a very warm and approachable person who is completely honest and doesn't shy away from giving constructive feedback.
Sarah is a dedicated recruiter who works extremely hard to ensure she gets the right fit between individual and recruiting organisation. She is honest and always displays good judgment. I would always look to use Sarah when looking for work.
Sarah consistently demonstrates excellent knowledge of business needs, trends and the market. She also has a unique ability to build strong relationships and networks with clients and jobseekers making her very well connected and well able to add real value to every conversation- which she does regularly. Sarah effectively uses her insight and abilities to provide real advice and solutions.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Sarah for over seven months as a job seeker/client. I vividly remember the first time we spoke over the phone because the advice she gave me was extremely valuable, second to none. I remember putting the phone down thinking that was different, different from other recruitment consultants because she gave me a pep talk for over 25 minutes without asking for anything in return...She was honest, personable, positively critical, resourceful, creative, and a solution-oriented person who was frequently able to come up with new and innovative ideas in finding work. A little over 5 months later, out of the blue, she called and said she would like to meet and discuss a promising role for me. We met in a very comfortable setting and got to know each other professionally. We discussed the role in great length and strategies to acquiring it. Suffice to say, I was offered the role shortly after interviewing it for it and I can honestly say, if it were not for Sarah's advice and motivation, I would still be seeking that perfect position. Sarah is a highly dedicated professional, a humble and approachable person who loves to share her extensive knowledge with others even if it means she doesn't prosper from it. It is with sincere conviction that I enthusiastically recommend Sarah as an Expert Recruitment Consultant if you are looking for that Dream Job. Keep up the great work Sarah and many thanks for keeping in touch after I got the role!
Sarah first approached me after speaking to one of her many HR contacts. Her professional approach and knowledge of the HR industry impressed me. After I had agreed to work with her on a project, she was able to demonstrate the true value of her experience by providing a shortlist of candidates who seemed to be a great match for the spec provided. Although I haven't worked with Sarah for some time, we regularly catch up and I firmly believe that she can add value to any of her clients as a trusted advisor.
I found Sarah very professional and approachable . Her advice was very useful and our meeting was very productive and helped me to gain an insight into the company , the role and my approach to the interview. Thank you for your time!
Sarah was excellent in helping me to understand exactly what it was that I wanted from my next role. Thanks to Sarah I was able to be much more confident to turn interviews down that didn't meet my criteria, to be more concise in interviews and to ask the right questions to be sure it was the right role for me. In August I was offered a role that is exactly what I wanted, just 3 weeks after meeting with Sarah!
I met with Sarah, who kindly offered to provide me with some informal career coaching after deciding to leave an organisation after 7+ years of service. Although I had an idea of what direction my career would take next, Sarah really assisted me with drilling down into the detail of what the next role should comprise of, what it should not include and what type of organisation I would be more suited too, given the type of cultural environment I was seeking. I found my next opportunity within two weeks of meeting with Sarah and will definitely be in touch with her again, as a check point when I make my next move.
Sarah has provoided a brilliant service to me as a job seeker, provided expert advice and most importantly taken time to get to know me in order to find me the right job in the right organisation.
I've been a candidate of Sarah's for a number of years now and as yet she hasn't directly placed me anywhere, but I haven't let that put me off remaining in contact with her.
Sarah is a true professional in every sense, she listens to your needs and works in partnership with you, Any jobs Sarah has put me forwards for have always been the "right" opportunity for me, it's just unfortunate that someone else got there before me!
Sarah's knowledge of the market is incredible, I can phone her about an opportunity and she is able to describe the culture and structure of the organisation in great detail and amazingly, she is always right!
Sarah has had a massive impact on my career. We have worked through my highs and lows and I credit her with helping me reach this point in my career.
Needless to say, I have no hestitation in recommending Sarah Cooper to anybody looking for their next move.
Sarah is a real recruitment professional. She has great ideas, experience and advice. She is committed and builds a great rapport with her clients. I would recommend Sarah and McGinnis Loy.
