I’m addicted to learning. I’m a course junkie. My inbox is full of starred articles, videos and podcasts. I’ve got blog posts queued up and a kindle app fit to bursting. My bedside table is a Jenga stack that needs careful negotiation every time I put a teacup down.
Yet none of this consumption will have its intended impact if I don’t take action:
“You are what you do, not what you say you’ll do” C.G.Jung
Just because I read about it, talk about it and ruminate on it for hours, doesn’t mean I’ve actually done it and sometimes I lose sight of that.
A good indicator it’s getting bad is when those around me start to complain “You never told me that!”
The chances are I haven’t actually said out loud: Ill be late home Thursday, or please pick up the milk, or your latest Lego model is a masterpiece, or I think we should walk more as a family. I thought it all, it just didn’t make it into action.
So I decided to create an action tracker, to record the date, the article, book or piece of content with a link (if possible) the takeaway summary and action/s for myself.
This then gives me my very own tailored self development cheat sheet to review. I can just focus on the action and make the difference.
As it’s my birthday today I decided to give it to you to freely. Not even an email address needed just click on the below link to download it:
Enjoy and don’t say I never told you about it
